Jay Bruce hit three home runs in the Reds 7-1 victory against the Cubs. How I imagine Jeff Brantley summed them up:

“Well, you see, the first long ball was like a solid Memphis pulled pork with baked beans. Standard, delicious stuff. Yeah, it’s nice and all, but nothing too surpsrising.
The second shot was like when you’re driving through Texas late at night and you find this little diner that makes the best rub for their ribs and you’re just like ‘What a nice, smoky, unexpected treat.’
But that third home run, let me tell you. That’s like sitting down at Big Burt’s Pig Hut in North Carolina and it’s all you can eat night. They’ve got the sweet sauce, the smoky sauce, the sweet and smoky sauce, the vinegary sauce, they’ve got it all and you can eat till your hearts content. That’s what getting three jacks from Jay Bruce is like.”

I didn’t see this game, but I really wouldn’t be shocked if this is what Jeff Brantley talked about. The dude loves his barbecue.
