Mike Pelfrey’s night: 8 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K with a career high 124 pitches in the Mets 2-1 win against the Astros.  Pelfrey has now allowed only 4 earned runs in his last 29 innings to lower his ERA to 3.77. Strangely enough, his number one comparable player is William VanLandingham who I haven’t thought about since I was about 8 years old. The Mets shouldn’t worry though, since Pelfrey’s career is already longer and better.
