Avert your eyes if you don’t like awesome things. Because Casey Blake homered for the second straight game, this time for a grand slam that proved to be the game winner, in the Dodgers 6-2 victory against the Rockies.
While it’s wonderful for the Beard to have hit the home run, it’s a shame that all the luck that Ubaldo Jimenez had in the first half of the year has now run out. Ubaldo took the loss and absored three earned runs thanks to Matt Belisle not fooling Blake as Jimenez dropped to 17-5. Ubaldo the great is now 2-4 in the second half of the season and the Cy Young may be slipping through his fingers. The Rockies and Dodgers are also both tied at 4 games back for the NL Wild Card.
