And now the game is tied 7-7 thanks to Pedro Alvarez’s error. I love watching Alvarez progress at the plate, but it is just a matter of time before he needs to be moved over to first base. Unfortunately, there’s really no one in the Pirates system with the bat or glove necessary to plate the hot corner.

Although, that’s really how it’s been at every position for the Pirates the last 18 years, so why should that stop anything.
