Omar Infante’s batting average after picking up two more hits in the Braves 12-3 win against the Marlins. Infante is quickly approaching the necessary number of at-bats needed to qualify for the batting title and ruin Albert Pujols’ hopes for the triple crown. I’ll apologize for saying Infante didn’t deserve to go to the All-Star game if he stops getting at-bats. Is that a deal?
Martin Prado drove in 5 as Tim Hudson struck out thirteen Marlins to get his fifteenth win and lower his ERA to 2.25. I know Hudson’s ERA is much lower than his metrics say it should be, but he’s been too good to just be lucky too. I’m going to guess he has an enchanted tiki somewhere in his locker.
Logan Morrison and Cameron Maybin combined to strike out six times. When the top of your lineup can’t even make contact, teams are really going to have trouble winning.
