Teixeira - Cano - Swisher

Those names probably won’t go down in history as the greatest threesome in Yankees lore, but they still had quite the night against Trevor Cahill and the Athletics. The three batsmen were a combined 9-11 with 7 RBI and 2 HR in the Yanks 11-5 take down of Oakland. The rest of the Yankee lineup on the other hand could only manage a measly four hits.

I’m sure Cahill (4 IP, 8 ER) knows that if he could have only faced two of the three, he could have found a way to win. Most amazing is that despite the super disaster start, Cahill’s ERA only rose to 2.82.
