John Axford To Attend ‘Stache Bash in Chicago
Axford may have lost the inaugural Old Time Family Baseball Fashion Awards, but he’s still in the running to win something nearly as prestigious: The Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year Award handed out by the American Mustache Institute. The award will be handed out this Friday Night at ‘Stache Bash in Chicago, which in addition to being the most important facial hair event of the year, also features the greatest holiday-themed facial hair logo:

Said Axford about his chances:
“My mustache and I are rather confident that we’ll prevail as the Goulet award winner, and I owe it to the Mustached American community to attend ‘Stache Bash in hopes of winning. I have my handsome mouth escarpment on a special diet of nuts, berries, Canadian bacon and poutine in preparation for this epic event.”
If you’re in Chicago and are choosing not to attend, then buddy, you are no friend of mine. And if you have a few spare dollars, you may also want to consider supporting Axford’s Movember team to help raise money for men’s health.
