.871
Pat Burrell’s OPS since coming over to the Giants, a number higher than his career mark of .836. Say what you will about Brian Sabean’s ability to identify good hitters, but the Giants have gotten extremely lucky with the unheralded, but successful trio of Pat Burrell, Aubrey Huff and Andres Torres.
Burrell hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to supply all the runs the Giants would need in their 3-1 victory against Arizona. It’s very easy to win on one home run when Tim Lincecum is on the mound, though.
Lincecum went seven innings and allowed six hits and one run while striking out eleven. Against a team like the Diamondbacks, I’m frankly shocked that he only struck out eleven. He probably was just a little tired. Lincecum’s disappointing season is probably over barring a 163rd game, and he finishes with a 16-10 3.43 ERA. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
