Old Fashioned Pranking
Probably the largest deterrent for my plans for worldwide domination stems from the fact that most prisons don’t allow access to MLB.tv. Which is why I feel so bad for Ilan Grapel who was recently released from an Egyptian prison and was told by Rep. Gary Ackerman that his beloved New York Mets had won the World Series:
“In a news conference in Tel Aviv following his release, the newspaper reports, Grapel said: “There’s so many people to thank, and after being cut off for the past five months …”
At that point, the Post reports, Ackerman chimed in: “We told him the Mets won the World Series.”
Which, while cruel, makes Grapel seem a little gullible because, come on, it’s the Mets we’re talking about.
