Which is as bizarre a decision as one can make. The fact of the matter is that Vladimir Guerrero looked more like Vlad the Impaler as he butchered almost any ball that came his way last night. And at this point in his career, Vlad’s bat isn’t strong enough to make up for any defensive deficiency, much less every shortcoming.
Ron Washington has a good reputation as a manager that players enjoy playing for, but the Rangers seem to be winning this postseason despite Washington’s best laid plans.
