Jon Daniels on reports that he asked the Mets to wait for him.
Which makes sense. It didn’t really add up that Daniels would want to jump ship from a World Series club that has a new owner flush with cash, to head over to the Mets situation that was begging for direction. With Sandy Alderson scooping up Paul DePodesta and JP Ricciardi to add to his staff, the Mets are in fine hands too (fingers crossed).
