Roger Clemens, currently cultivating mass, pitched one shutout inning against the Longhorns yesterday, striking out two. You may notice that neither of the two pitches we see break 80 mph which is probably part of his ploy to out do Jamie Moyer. In Clemens’ only PitchFX season, 2007, only his curveball averaged under 80 mph.
