Updated: Braves Unveil New Alternate Uniform

And they’re nice looking too, hearkening back to the 1960s jersey top by trading out the white for a warm creamy color and even ditching the screaming Indian shoulder patch for a more tasteful crossed tomahawks option. However, this uniform now gives the Braves five different options including the home whites, road blues, (updated) road greys, alternate home reds, 1970s home white & blues, and  these new cream colored jerseys.

To keep things from getting too complicated, the Braves have laid out a simple plan for when each jersey is to be worn:

  • Red jerseys for home Fridays.
  • Except on opening day, then it’s classic white.
  • Cream jerseys for home games on Saturday and Sundays.
  • White jerseys for all other home games.
  • Except for alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays when it’s “Ladies Pick” nights.
  • Cream jerseys to be worn on Wednesdays when the soup of the day is lobster bisque. (It hides stains better.)
  • Road greys to be worn at pitcher’s discretion.
  • Road blues to be worn for all road games when equipment manager just didn’t feel like doing another load of laundry, damn it.
  • 1970s throwback uniform to be worn on Civil Rights Day and any day Hank Aaron shows up.
  • Red jerseys to be worn when the moon is full and werewolves are on the prowl for human flesh.

Special note: some of those bullet points are actual, verifiable facts.
