Things You May Have Missed While You Were Living Your Life

It was the first weekend in June. Does anyone do anything in the first weekend in June? Perhaps this weekend you don’t need a quick catchall. Screw it, you’re getting one anyway.

Will (Clark) and (Mark) Grace. I would watch this show. I would watch the hell out of this show.

Yankees angry at Stubhub. Well, not really Stubhub. They’re actually mad at the people who sell their tickets below face value because no one in their right mind would buy face value tickets to see the Yankees. So they’re mad at themselves. But everyone needs a scapegoat.

Tim Collins is small. And great

Players to be allowed to tweet during All-Star game. The only thing that counts about the game? Followers and re-tweets, apparently. Which I’m fine with as long as Major League Baseball decides to stop treating like it’s anything other than a super-fun team-up.

Humberto Quintero makes racist gesture behind Bruce Chen. I’m sure this is a running joke that Chen is fine with, but what may be okay with a close friend is not going to fly on TV or with the general public. It will be interesting to see how Major League Baseball responds. It’s especially interesting considering the Royals were wearing their Negro League throwbacks, commemorating a very dark time in American and baseball history.

The Mariners threw a combined no-hitter against the Dodgers. You would think this would be because the Dodgers were throwing out a myriad of players not named Matt Kemp, but they scored a boatload of runs on Saturday and Sunday. And the fact that Kevin Millwood took the first 2/3s of it? Even stranger. Also strange: Kevin Millwood, for a time, was considered to be the next generation of amazing Braves pitcher. Isn’t that weird?

Kila Ka’aihue sent down right before child is born. Players are, naturally, upset. Didn’t they see Moneyball? Don’t they know this is how things are done in Oakland?

Joey Votto is a freak. A freakin’ freak, man.

Hey, a Cubs water…pipe. It’s the best way to enjoy the Cubs this year.

Bob Geren was on Family Feud. Some guys have all the luck.
