Derek Norris Uses Norse Powers To Hit First Career Home Run, Win Game
With his ancient and eternal beard connecting Derek Norris to the Norse Gods of Magick and Myth, Derek Norris hit his first home run of his career off Santiago Casilla.

Down 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Norris took Casilla’s 94 mph fastball and, with Odin watching, deposited it over the left field wall for a three-run homer. It’s something that A’s fans will look forward to now that Norris is with the big league club, having topped 20 home runs in a season twice in the minors.
For Casilla, it’s the third straight game in which he surrendered and run, watching his ERA move from 1.59 to 2.79, all thanks to the Oakland Athletics.
