Quick, parenting quiz, hotshot. Your child is upset. What do you do, WHAT DO YOU DO?!

  1. Console your child, listening to their concerns and offering supportive solutions to the problem.
  2. Ignore the brat, it’s high time he grew up anyways.
  3. Grabthecamera, grabthecamera, grabthecamera. God dammit, honey, where the hell did you put the camera? We’re going to be YouTube stars!

I have to admit though, seeing this kid cry over the loss of Brent Lillibridge, utility infielder extraordinaire, warms my heart. Not for the tears, no, but for the sheer devotion to someone whose greatest skill is jumping, leaping, and owning many gloves.
