I’ve Learned Nothing
Last year, the 5’8”, baseball-loving nerd Sam Fuld was hitting .366/.395/.549 through his first 76 plate appearances. When he finished the season hitting .240/.313/.360, we all assumed he had merely regressed back to his previously established career norms.
But…what if we were wrong?
After returning from the DL, Fuld is hitting .556/.600/.667 in the first 10 plate appearances this year. If he was a different player, then sure, I’d expect those numbers to fall. But using the science of my heart, I’m pretty sure Fuld’s numbers will only improve. In fact, I’ve made an image using a spectrometer to reveal what’s really going on.
