Recap: Sweet Trade Deadline Action

Hunter Pence is a Giant. In return, Philadelphia receives Double-A prospect (and catcher) Tommy Joseph, minor league righty Seth Rosin, and, of course, outfielder Nate Schierholtz.

Shane Victorino is also no longer a member of Phillies, which is slightly weird. He goes to the Dodgers in exchange for Ethan Martin and Josh Lindblom.

The Rangers look to “RyDemst” themselves by sending minor league hot corner aficionado Christian Villanueva and RHP Kyle Hendricks to the Cubs.

St. Louis acquires reliever Edward Mujica from Miami for minor league third baseman Zachary Cox.

Red Sox trade RHP Matt Albers and outfielder Scott Podsednikto the Dbacks for LHP Craig Breslow.

Red Sox send former prospect Lars Anderson to the Indians for knuckleball “prodigy” Steven Wright.

The Marlins and Pirates swap first baseman Gaby Sanchez and outfielder Gorkys Hernandez. And definitely not the first draft pick.

Carlos Lee vetoes a trade to the Yankees for some reason.

Those same Yankees, however, acquire Casey McGehee from the Pirates in exchange for Chad Qualls.

Cincinnati improves an already solid bullpen nabbing Jonathan Broxton from the Royals, while giving up minor league pitchers J.C. Sulbaran and Donnie Joseph.
