Popular Culture Belongs to David Cone
Like a one-man Mystery Science Theater crew, David Cone has revealed that he loves nothing more than staying abreast of pop culture trends. I’m sure his next goal in life is to host a late night talk show.
On Friday night, after Mark Teixeira broke his bat, David Cone held court on erotica, saying:
“That was deep in that kichen, tied him up. Tied him up tight. Tighter than the novel ‘50 Shades of Grey.”
Was Cone referencing the plot, the pacing? Or perhaps the sentence structure. We’ll never really know for sure. Video below:
Not stopping there, Cone decided to spit some rhymes on Sunday, laying down some Rapper’s Delight. While Cone’s flow is certainly something, it’s his booth partner’s monotone responses in the affirmative that really sell this one.
