Announcing the Old Time Family Baseball Blogathon 2013
With the year winding down and holiday spirit infecting everyone like a zombie plague, it’s time to formally announce the second annual Old Time Family Baseball Blogathon. For those unfamiliar, the Blogathon features fresh, live posts going up every half hour for 24 hours with a second day of guest posts from the very best baseball bloggers out there. This superstar-packed event is all done for the benefit of Doctor’s Without Borders. Last year, we raised over $2,000 dollars, but I know we can do even better this year.
The 2013 Blogathon will take place on January 19th and 20th. It’s hard work for everyone involved, but in the end, it’s all worth it because Doctors Without Borders’ mission of providing impartial humanitarian and medical aid all across the globe is of vital importance.
More details will come out as we get closer, but the FirstGiving page where donations will be collected has just gone live and is ready to accept contributions. Just like last year, everyone who donates, even just one dollar, will be entered to win a variety of soon to be announced prizes that could range anywhere from baseball cards, movies, books, comics, Scooby Doo thongs, or any of the myriad of strange baseball products that are out there.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more details and if you would like to take part, whether by writing or providing giveaways, or even if you just want to chat, please email me.
