Although, to be fair, while I love intelligent athletes like Brandon McCarthy who read the same Baseball Prospectus articles I do, sometimes it is nice that our gruff, mustachioed ballplayers respond as we expect them to be. After all, winning was Jack Morris’ job, it’s our job as fans, or the GM’s job, to figure out just how and why that happens.
