After 24 hours, and with the sun now rising, my shift is done. Prepare now for the second day featuring over 30 of your favorite sports writers contributing some absolutely amazing pieces. Seriously, I’ve read them and you will not want to miss any, so sit glued to your computer all day long.
I also want to say how genuinely touched I was by the outpouring of donations and support that I received through my shift. It can get lonely and tiring to sit at a computer for 24 hours, but thanks to your continued encouragement, I once again really enjoyed it.
Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised over $2,230 dollars, and are well on our way to our goal of $3,000. Doctors Without Borders provides crucial medical and humanitarian support to over 70 nations with no agenda beyond getting people the care they need. It’s a wonderful organization, one that I truly believe in, so let’s please keep up the donations on day two.
Don’t forget, each donation, even as low as one dollar, enters you to win a variety of great prizes, including a subscription to Baseball Prospectus, downloads of both the mobile and desktop version of Out of the Park Baseball, a gift certificate to Ebbets Field Flannels, copies of some of the films, comics, and books that were featured during the event, and much, much more.
Every dollar matters, so please give what you can. My final status update:

Cups of Coffee: 4 cups, 2 energy drinks
Times I thought the wind was a ghost: 2
Mental State: Tired, but so, so thankful for everyone’s contributions.
Thanks again and I’ll be seeing you shortly.
