While we’ve all been arguing about catcher collisions, this pitcher for Berry College decided to escalate things and throw his body into the oncoming runner from third on a wild pitch.

While the collision (at 0:39) is certainly unexpected, there are two weirder parts of the video: 

  1. The runner does not get up and immediately come out swinging. Probably due to shock. 
  2. The crowd’s murmurs and excited gasps sound like a group of extras in a community theatre play, filling the empty space with “rabble rabbles” and “peas and carrots, peas and carrots.”
