battingcleanup: So, according to Wikipedia (reliable source, I know) George Hendrick is who we have to blame for the lack of stirrup socks.

However, he once rocked a nifty handlebar mustache: http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lkf1i4pgSQ1qbl67ao1_500.jpg

Now I'm torn between hating and loving him.

Hendrick has made a powerful enemy, indeed.

From Wikipedia:

He was the first MLB player to wear his pant legs down to his ankles and was nicknamed “Captain Easy” and “Silent George” for his longstanding policy of not talking to the media.

I’ll admit to the possibility that if I was around when this happened I would have thought it cool because he was doing something unique. But from my perspective in the future, George Hendrick was more harmful to fashion than shoulder pads in 80s powersuits.
