Beckett IP and ERA in first 5 GS, 2009 versus 2010
2009: 5 Games Started; 28.2 Innings Pitched; 7.22 ERA.
2010: 5 Games Started; 28.2 Innings Pitched; 7.22 ERA.
That’s not a typo. That’s Josh Beckett starting slow, finding his command, and dominating when we need him.
Only problem is that this year both the Rays and Yankees have started hot. It’s way, way too early to write the Sox off yet, but in the AL East you can’t be cold for very long and still have a chance to pull it off.
