A-Rod’s Contingency Plans

Earlier today, TMZ reported that Alex Rodriguez plans to sue MLB if the league doesn’t throw out the 211 game suspension it slapped down due to the results of the Biogenesis investigation.

Now, I’m no legal expert, but the appeals process granted to A-Rod (and every player) through the CBA seems like main avenue for A-Rod to protest the suspension. But A-Rod is already heading down that road, and in classic A-Rod fashion, he needs a contingency plan for his contingency plan.

In this case, A-Rod’s contingency plans include:

  1. Utilize collectively bargained right to appeal MLB’s decision
  2. Lawyer up and sue the crap out of MLB in order to have way
  3. Flee the country for some reason
  4. Fake own death and reinvent MLB career as a lefty reliever named Han Solo
  5. Launch an organization whose teams are stacked with AAAA types to compete with MLB called A-Rod Presents: League of Extraordinary Baseballmen
