Marlins President Scared of Logan Morrison’s Twitter Usage
David Samson on LoMo, and I’m assuming, the not-really-connected Mr. Dimples:
“I’m not a dinosaur. But I’m not thrilled. It’s very scary to me. I’ve told Logan, `People are waiting for you to make a mistake. They’re going to bait you on Twitter to say something inappropriate that you can never take back.’
On one hand, David Samson is being every bit the killjoy that one expects from a boss, not fully realizing how Twitter has allowed fans to get involved and enjoy the game like never before.
On the other, Samson’s fear is legitimate as many media members and fans relish a slip-up. It’s why things like TMZ exist because America loves nothing more than tearing down the celebrities we build up. I’m not immune to it, and I’d challenge you to find someone who can remain above the fray.
Hopefully the fact that Logan Morrison is such a good-natured guy,we won’t have to go down a road filled with scandal and controversy and all of Samson’s fears will be for naught.
Also, a prize to the person who sends me the best image of David Samson as a dinosaur. Because I think that’s hilarious.
