It was really nice to see him. All the staff was happy to see him; the players were happy to see him. It was nice he came in.

Brewers Manager Ron Roenicke doing his best impression of a grandparent after Ryan Braun paid a visit to his teammates at Miller Park earlier today. The park was Braun’s latest stop on the tour to try and rebuild his reputation in the wake of his Biogenesis suspension.

Personally, I don’t blame Braun for attempting to make up for his transgressions, though he’s got a long way to go. It seems like at this point the only shot he really has at salvaging any part of his pre-PED reputation rests solely on his ability to play baseball at the same high caliber level that he did for the past few seasons while also remaining clean and consistently passing drug tests.

And even that most likely won’t be enough for a large number of baseball fans out there. I don’t blame anyone who might fall into either hypothetical camp.
