Before the 9th inning in yesterday’s game, the Mets had gone 35 innings without allowing a run. From that point until the 5th inning in today’s game, the Mets allowed at least one run in each inning. A lot of that had to do with Corey Hart who hit 3 home runs in 3 consecutive at bats. Hart now has 12 home runs on the season, and while he may never hit .295 or steal 23 bags again, I think it may be safe to say that he has returned to potential all-star form. Coming into today his slash line stood at .261/.329/.542 and he currently has the highest OPS+ of his career at 131.
But enough about his performance. How about the awesome Negro League uniforms the Mets and Brewers wore today? I wish they would wear them all the time instead of the boring unis they each normally wear.
