The golden-haired and golden-armed Mat Latos is on an absolute tear this month for and has now won his last four decisions. Latos lowered his ERA from 6.20 on May 1 to 3.08 after today’s victory against the Nationals. In 41 innings this month, Latos has allowed 23 hits, walked 9, and struck out 37. I suppose I should temper my enthusiasm though, as Latos has faced the Astros, Giants (twice), Mariners and Nationals in his May starts and none of them are known for their ball bashing abilities.
