That’s the Phillies batting average since May 22nd as they lost to the Marlins 1-0. They have also gone 54 innings without hitting a home run.
But it’s not like the Marlins scored a lot of runs. From the game recap:
“According to STATS LLC, It was the first time since April 2009 that teams combined to score seven or fewer runs in a three-game set; the Giants and Diamondbacks played three straight 2-0 games, San Francisco winning two, last April 17-19.”
If pitching and defense are your thing, this was the series you should have been watching. Though something tells me that Halladay’s start not included, this wasn’t about expert pitching, but rather inept hitting.
