Eddie Grant
The only Major League Baseball player to be killed in action during WW I
Two other notes about Eddie Grant:
- He first played for the Cleveland Naps, the team with the coolest name in the history of baseball. (Unfortunately, they’re not named for snoozing, but for Nap Lajoie)
- His nickname was “Harvard Eddie.” There has only been a total of 21 players in the history of Major League Baseball to attend Harvard.
