An 11-3 game should never be expected, but when it’s an Indians-Yankees game it is. The Yankees scored 8, 11, 7, and 11 runs in their four games against the Indians, so there is the evidence.
Mitch Talbot was pretty good as he went 6.1 innings and gave up three runs (two coming in the seventh.) But it was the combination of Rafael Perez, Chris Perez, Jamey Wright that undid the team, giving up 8 of the 11 Yankees runs. Messrs Perez didn’t even manage to get a single out while giving up 5 runs. Sheesh.
The Yankees got a strong start from Pettite (7 IP 4 H 1 ER) and home runs from Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano. Ho hum. How about something surprising, huh?
