Going up against the team that exchanged him for one barely serviceable season of Robinzon Diaz, Jose Bautista gave his old club a love tap in the fourth inning. Bautista did what he does best; swinging incredibly hard and hitting balls a very long way. It was unfortunate for Kevin Correia whose 88 mph slider did not deserve the treatment it received.
The home run, Bautista’s 24th of the season, was not enough to defeat the Pirates.
