Cardinals Release Ryan Franklin

The move caused goatee securities to drop 13%. It was a baseball decision a long time in the making as the Cardinals showed an immense amount of patience and understanding in allowing Franklin to pitch 27.2 innings while posting an 8.46 ERA.
It’s possible that Franklin has been the recipient of some unfortunate luck, but far more likely is that this is just the natural course of events for 38 year old pitchers whose margin for error was never that great to begin with.
