Will Venable has become a home run machine. Venable hit tie-breaking two run home run to give him 3 RBI on the day in the Padres 4-2 victory over the Marlins. Venable, who has 8 run home runs on the season, has hit four in the last seven games.
Mat Latos wasn’t his normal sharp self, but did manage to hold the Marlins to one run in 5.2 innings and behind Will Venable’s Bunyan-esque performance, the Padres now lead the West by 4.5 games. Maybe, just maybe, the Padres can take this thing.
