Old Time Family Baseball

The Nationals have hit rock bottom having just been swept by the Baltimore Orioles. And it wasn’t like this was the Orioles weekend or anything because the Nationals had to blow leads of 6, 5, and 3 runs in each game. The Nationals just played well for the first few innings and then played terribly the rest of the way. The Nats are now 10 games under .500 and the Orioles are slowly surging.

This was a true team effort for the Orioles with Guthrie pitching the definition of a quality start (6 IP, 3 ER) and only Miguel Tejada had more than one hit. The Orioles take their comeback show to Oakland who just got healthy against the Pirates so it will be interesting to see which hot team will prevail.
