Oswalt lasted only 4.1 innings while allowing 7 earned runs on 7 hits against the Rangers and Josh Hamilton extended his hitting streak to 21 games with a 468 ft home run. The home run was the second longest ever hit at Rangers Ballpark leading and Hamilton is now tied for the most hits in a single month by a Ranger. With the Rangers off on Monday, Hamilton will have two chances to set one of those fairly meaningless records against the Angels who are 4.5 games behind the Rangers in the West. Don’t even ask me how many games the Astros are back of the Cardinals because, brother, it does not even matter.
