With the aid of the best ‘burns this side of Asimov, Anthony Lerew finally got his first Major League win as the Royals undressed the White Sox 3-1. Lerew has seen Major League action four separate times before this season and today was his 17th appearance before finally capturing the elusive ‘W.’ Lerew went 6 innings and gave up one run on three hits while striking out four as the White Sox bats look to have grown a little cold now that their winning streak is over.
Carlos Quentin had the only good game for the White Sox as he went 1-1 with a home run and drew the only two walks for the team. That’s something to be proud of, I suppose and Quentin has brought his average back up to the merely bad range of .233 and not-scary bad range he was in last week.
