Frankly, this is unacceptable. Sure, Ubaldo still got the victory in the Rockies 10-6 victory over the Padres, but Ubaldo only went 6 innings and he allowed 4 runs in that time frame. His ERA is up to 1.83 and he’s tied for the best ERA in the National League. Ubaldo has now allowed 10 runs in his last two starts when he only allowed a total of 7 runs in April and May combined.
There was no way the Amazing Ubaldo could have kept that level of performance up, but I’m still going to be upset about it every time he fails to live up to my unreachable expectations. Because if Jimenez can’t be perfect every time out, what chance do any of us have in this crazy, work-a-day world?
