The great and mighty bearded one deigned the baseball world with his first home run in 25 games and it gave the Dodgers a 4-2 victory against their rivals, the San Francisco Giants. It was Blake’s 8th home run of the season and it came off of Santiago Casilla who hadn’t allowed one yet this year.
Chad Billingsley and Barry Zito almost matched each other pitch for pitch as each went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, but neither factored in the decision.
