This is the worst thing to happen to Atlanta since Sherman’s March to Sea.
Well, for the morale standpoint of the fans, it is. But the nagging thumb injury that Heyward suffered meant that he was going to be a waste of a roster spot at this time anyways. Putting him on the DL and letting it heal for a few weeks will be the best thing in the long run, hopefully allowing him to be the absolute .300/.400/.500 type monster he is during an important stretch run.
