Sean Burroughs on his lost years to drug addiction. 

Oddly enough, this North County Times article is the first that I’ve ever heard of Sean Burrough’s drug problem and it makes his return to the Major Leagues after five seasons all the more impressive.

It also highlights the fact that for all the media coverage surrounding Major League Baseball, there is still a secret life that all of these players have with very real personal demons, whether it be drugs, a divorce, or an illness in the family, that they must battle everyday.
