Apparently July 28th was a big day for trades. With rumors swirling that Roy Oswalt will be headed to Philadelphia after all, and Scott Podsednik sent to LA, Jhonny Peralta and his amazing bat o’ inconsistency is head to Detroit. Soto is performing well in A-ball, but has only a high 80s fastball and may have trouble moving up the ladder. Still, the Indians saved $7 million in a lost season for a nearly immobile third baseman with a .698 OPS. It’s not like they traded the keys to Cleveland or anything.
