Thunder roared and the sky was cleaved by lightning, setting the perfect gloomy mood for the horror story that is the Nationals season. Today they moved the God of Pitching Stephen Strasburg to the DL, so Scott Olsen got the start today. He pitched six effective innings in that Nats 5-3 win against the Braves with Adam Dunn and Ian Desmond doing their best to take the gook fans of Washington’s minds off the shoulder inflammation effecting Strasburg.  To paraphrase Spiderman, “With great power fastballs, comes great risk of injury.”
I’m also assuming Nyjer Morgan and Ian Desmond have a good race going between the two of them.  Morgan stole his 28th base and Desmond committed his 24th error. Who will win the race? Only time will tell.
