Cameron Maybin Beats the Mets All on His Own
Cameron Maybin, in a desperate bid to give the Padres a hitter other than the recently departed Ryan Ludwick to reach double digits in home runs, beat the Mets all by himself earlier today.
In the Padres 3-2 victory, Maybin had two hits, drew a walk, hit his seventh home run, stole two bases, and used his impressive telekinetic powers to force Ruben Tejada to commit the error that let Maybin score the go-ahead run in the top of the 8th.
It’s almost shocking that the Padres were able score three whole runs as five of their starting nine, including Cory Luebke, came into the game with on-base percentages below .300.
