14 pitches. That’s all Raul Valdez needed to be responsible for four runs in the Met’s 9-5 loss to the D-Backs. Valdez must be a middle manager because he’s such a big fan of efficiency, finding a way to give up two home runs to Kelly Johnson and Miguel Montero in that time. Valdez didn’t even have the decency to get any outs.
David Wright hit two essentially meaningless home runs to give him 17 for the year. Still think David WRight is scared of Citi Field, or did he just transfer that big bad voodoo magic to Jason Bay?
