The Indians’ Michael Jackson
After picking up the save in last night’s victory, Cleveland Indian closer Chris Perez moved into fifth on the team’s all-time save list with 54. It’s not a hugely impressive accomplishment, especially since he is forty behind the next man on the list, former reliever Michael Jackson, a player I have absolutely no recollection of.
Because I value knowledge the way a fishmonger values fish, I went to Google Images, hoping that a photo would would spark my memory. Here is what my search returned when I typed in “Indians Mike Jackson,” assuming that a handful of baseball cards and some AP photos would be returned to me. Instead, this is what I got:

Oh, how I wish the above Michael Jackson had played Major League Baseball. Preferably with the fake teeth and post-pro eyes.
